2. Intensive Master’s degree in psychoanalytical psychotherapy improvement

Intensive master’s degree in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy improvement for medical doctors, psychologists and other mental health professionals.  Anyone who has successfully completed the Intensive Master’s degree in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy can also take it.

Objectives
 

To expand the theoretical and clinical knowledge of psychoanalytical thinking with the contributions of post-kleinian authors. To deepen the student’s understanding of psychopathology and the technical aspects of psychotherapeutic work, both in adults, children and adolescents, and in the treatment of couples, families and groups in general.

- Introduction to the psychoanalytical thinking in the work of Sigmund Freud.Clinical application.
- Normality and pathology from the evolution point of view.
- Theoretical clinical Approach of the First Interviews.
- Diagnosis and orientation in children, adolescents and adults.
- Supervision of clinical material in reduced groups.

- Psychopathology IV: narcissism, psychopathies, addictions and perversions.
- Group dynamics.
- Advanced study of the Theory of psychoanalytical psychotherapy technique in children, adolescents and adults.
- Supervision of clinical material in reduced groups.

- Psychopathology in special situations: pregnancy, mother-child bond, adolescence, work, immigration,
old age.
- Observation of babies.
-Psychopathology of couples and families.
- Supervision of clinical material in reduced groups.

 

Program of Practical Training
 

During the training process of the Intensive Master’s degree in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Improvement the student must complete one year of practical training in public institutions.

 
     
 
Observation of the Diagnostic Process. First interviews, diagnostic and case orientation.
Attendance in the supervision of the Diagnostic Process.

Observation of cases with diverse psychopathologies.

-Attendance in clinical sessions and other scientific events considered appropriate by the Institution.
 
   
 

Not present work (at a distance)

 
 
Apportation during the class days of all those tasks asked to the students by the tutors and teachers.
 


Work without attendance
 

Students must provide in class all the assignments given to them by professors and tutors.

 


Synthesis Paper and Master’s Thesis
 

On the first and second years of the Master’s program, students must write a paper based on clinical material, which must include the theoretical and practical knowledge taught during the school year. During the third year this work will take the form of a Master’s thesis.

 


Tutories
 

During the Master’s program each student will be assigned a tutor who will guide and counsel him/her regarding both his/her theoretical and practical training.
There will also be a coordinator in charge of the Program of Practical Training that students complete in public institutions.
