Dear colleagues:
From the Board we are performing a review of the four years of this legislature, but for the final count and recount of what’s been done, the goals achieved, the shortages, and in this respect, the goals to be fulfilled, it’s desirable for all of us to speak up. Now, as every four years when we must renew the Board, the contribution of each and every one of the members of the association becomes more necessary, because ours is a small association, and as such, it needs the vote of its members –you already know it’s the vote of its full members- but above all, the voice. We need the voice of everyone, of those who can vote and those who cannot yet vote in this assembly. Remember that some of you perhaps have been associate members for more than three years and perhaps you still have time to submit your updated CV, so that the Admissions Committee can interview you and decide on your change of category, to finally be able to vote for the new Board in the assembly. Even if that is not the case, remember that being a full member or not, you can always be part of one of the commissions organized by each committee.
In the last bulletin we already reminded you about the formalization that, according to the by-laws, must be followed in order to present a candidacy; we want to remind you again hoping to encourage the democratic process. It is necessary that those of you who decide to organize a candidacy, communicate such decision to the ACPP President on the week before last of the month of February at the latest, since the replacement has to take effect on March 31 of 2004, and the President must convoke the Extraordinary Assembly with 31 days notice.
We hope that these candidatures to new Board get their final touches in our corridor of lost steps at the Casa del Mar during the breaks of the congress Thinking about Emotions. See you at the Congress!
