Dear colleagues,
This bulletin will be in effect during July and August, and in mid September, after resuming the activities of the Committee, we will send out the October issue.
During what’s left of July, besides finishing the planning of next year, we will study the reports and proposals brought by the delegates of the three sections after the delegates’ meeting held during the Stockholm Conference on July 3, 4 and 5; we will make this information available to you in the next bulletin.
In September we will resume our usual tasks: the conferences held every second Thursday and the continuing education courses. However, we will have a new job: the preparation of the February Conference, “Thinking about emotions”, which we hope will provide you with new grounds for communication and growth, both personally and professionally.
Now, while enjoying the leisure provided by this summer time, we suggest you listen, here and there, with those views, with that breeze, to the fountain of ideas which, filling up the glass to its rim, will renew us and revive us in order to resume, when we return, our tasks. Have a good summer.

EFPP:
You can find the latest information about the Conference of the three EFPP sections held in Stockholm on July 4, 5, and 6, and you can also consult the scientific program and the book of abstracts, parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 of all sessions and workshops of the meeting logging on to:
http://www.enigma.se/efpp/sthlm2003/sessions-eng.htm
Adults’ section:
Seizing the occasion of the Conference of the 3 sections in Stockholm, a meeting will be held with all the European delegates of the adults’ section, the topic of which will be the study and debate of the Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist Certificate granted by the EFPP. It will stem from the contributions provided by a work group with which we have been in contact via e-mail, in which our adults’ delegate took part. The goal is to agree on the requirements for treatment, theoretical training and supervision.
Children and adolescents’ Section:
We will make the last touch-ups to the project for establishing the training conditions necessary for belonging to the section and obtaining the certificate on Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy of Children and Adolescents of the EFPP.
Group section:
We remind you that the EFPP is organizing the third Conference on Group Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, held jointly with the Portuguese Groupanalytical Society: The individual and the group: bridging the Gap, which will take place in Lisbon on October 8,9 and 10, 2004. |

A while ago we already informed in one of the bulletins about the agreement reached by several associations and institutions for publishing books on Psychoanalysis in Catalan, both by local and foreign authors.
The Monographs on Psychoanalysis.
The idea, promoted by Dr. Folch, has been subscribed by the following associations and organizations:
Institut de Psicoanàlisi,
Universitat de Barcelona,
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona,
Universitat de Lleida,
Congrés Català de Salut mental,
IPSY,
IES,
Hospital de Sant Pere Claver,
Hospital de la Creu Roja,
Centre Orienta,
Fundació Vidal i Barraquer,
Centre Emili Mira,
Fundació Puigvert,
Societat de Roscharch,
CEPP
ACPP.
It is possible to push forward this project because each of these institutions has made a commitment to purchase a certain number of copies. In order for the project to be viable it is necessary to publish an edition of 1000 copies. The commitment of each association has been made in accordance with the availability of distribution and their finances.
Our association, the ACPP, has committed to the purchase of 100 copies, since at this time we are about 150 members. These books will be on sale at bookstores at a higher price than the one you will pay through the ACPP.
The next book, Els fets immaterials (Immaterial Facts)by Caper, is about to be published and will soon be available to you, and we can send it to your home upon request.
