Dear colleagues:
Last May 11 took place in the Pati LLimona an AEPP conference held jointly with the Children and Adolescents’ Section of the ACPP. All presentations were interesting, but we won’t forget the impact of Dr. Buxó’s conference, which took us to an already present future masterly relating artificial intelligence and the fragmentation induced by the application of the perverse use of new technologies. She awoke in us the need to become aware of this parcel of knowledge about new technologies and artificial intelligence regarding the person, both as an individual being and a social one, and to be prepared, as mental health professionals, to face the new challenge this qualitative change entails.

The last meeting of the Groups Section of year 2001-02 took place on May 22. We will restart the activities of this section next October. We take this opportunity to wish you a good and well deserved summer break.
The Adults Section finished its activities on May 23. They wish us a good summer. They will resume their work the fourth Thursday in September, with the subject “Dreaming the dreams”. They ask you to send them your suggestions.
On May 11, within the VII AEPP Conference, the Children and Adolescents Section participated with a paper on hyperactive children, by Margarida Gratacós and another about a group of adolescents, presented by Maria Ignacio and Montserrat Garcia-Milà. Despite the fact that there wasn’t enough time to present the papers and to debate them, both were very interesting. M.Gratacós, being interested in prevention, made a call to anyone interested in it. We hope to be able to establish a work group. We encourage you to join us.
As a reminder, the commission for working on the subjects to bring to the Platform for the Improvement of Mental Health is being organized. Those of you interested in participating must talk to the ACPP secretary.
