1. Greeting

Dear colleagues,

The vineyard says: the master plants me, the master prunes me, the master ties me, and March gives me life.*

On Saint Joseph’s day, buds in the vine.**

These two sayings help us to remind you that we must make a new contribution to this vineyard,  the master of which we all are. We planted the Board –together- and we have been tying and pruning it –don’t take it in the wrong sense-. It is now time to think about the grafts and that is why, on the 19, detached from any filial gratitude towards a Saint Joseph who hasn’t been able to preserve the holiday, we are meeting to work. Many Josephs and Josephinas will have to celebrate the occasion before hand or with all of us.
We will accept crème, which doesn’t need to be broiled; the melindros (pastry similar to ladyfingers) will be provided by the ACPP.
The Board

School:
On January 28 a clinical session was held with the attendance of all students and the nourished participation of some alumni of the School. In a previous meeting there was a discussion, among other things, about the difficulties of some of these alumni to find the necessary cases for supervision. We should keep this in mind in order to help them.

The second four-month period of this academic year started on Tuesday, February 18.

Contacts with the University:
In order to make the Association and the Training School known a presentation was made at the Universitat Autònoma. We explained the work we are carrying out and we also presented a clinical case. We will soon do it at the Universitat de Barcelona.

Collaborations:
Our colleague Immaculada Ribas, is starting to work in early treatment, and she is interested in contacting other members of the ACPP working in this field. We ask you to contact her by calling the secretary’s office of the ACPP and we will let her know.

Obituaries

In memory of Ms. Núria Abelló, who died on February 13.
She was the first to introduce in our country Ms. Esther Bick’s method for the observation
of babies.
Many of our colleagues were lucky to have learned from her about the observation of babies. Many others were fortunate to learn
from her behavior.
Those who never met her personally will always have part of her knowledge, which she spread so generously.
May she rest in peace.
Our condolences to our colleagues Roser and Joan Manuel Blanqué, for the loss of their father on February 22.
